Modern Office Methods is the first Ricoh dealer to join the Managed Print Services Association (MPSA) as part of the special ChaMPS program available to Ricoh Family Group dealers.
Modern Office Methods President and CEO, Kevin P. The value of MPSA is as an educational and networking forum to build noncompetitive connections and help members through operational challenges and questions.”
Riddell concluded, “By joining MPSA, we are looking for broader acknowledgement of what we have done and what we have to offer. We have worked in ‘stealth mode,’ successfully providing large manufacturers and vendors with data to support their strategies. We see this as an opportunity to work more closely with small businesses. All dealers face the same challenge in focusing clients’ attention on the issues around documents. MPS is the latest iteration of providing value to that client and going where the costs are. We are moving to more involvement in the dealer community because that is where the growth opportunity is.”

The second annual competition, hosted by Photizo Group, drew a pool of 53 submissions from twelve different counties. “Throughout the selection process, we were impressed with the high level of out-of-the-box thinking that has occurred in the industry within the last year. Customer-centric Judging Criteria
MPSA board members interviewed all 2010 Leadership Award submissions and judged them using an in-depth, balanced scorecard methodology. Solutions were rated based on core criteria such as strength of vision, support and level of adoption. Judges also considered MPS best practices, operational fit, flexibility and growth, as well as business benefits and ROI.
“It was important to the MPSA that we designed the balanced scorecard and the resulting judging to focus on the benefit that the proposed solution would provide to the ultimate customer,” said MPSA Vice President Justin West. “The end users are at the core of everything the MPSA stands for, as we develop standards and best practices for the industry.”
