- Describe your company – a high-level description of what your business does.
EKM Global is a dedicated Managed Print Services (MPS) software provider delivering intelligent solutions that provide visibility, automation, analytics, and optimisation across print and document environments. Our approach moves beyond traditional MPS by enabling data-driven print ecosystems that optimise workflows, improve operational efficiency, and support sustainability goals.
Our platform enables OEMs, channel partners, and enterprise clients to transition from reactive device management to predictive, data-driven service delivery with one central point of control across print, network, and desktop environments. Through automation tools, analytics, and integrations, organisations can manage devices, supplies, services, and billing with confidence.
Our self-healing DCA collects asset, meter, consumable, and service data in near real time and securely relays it to a cloud portal where machine learning supports accurate billing and predictive consumables ordering. Integrations with partners such as HP SDS, Zebra, Epson ERS, and Sharp Synappx provide direct access to manufacturer remote management features, while analytics data can be used to create customised reports and dashboards.
- How does your organization support the managed print services (MPS) landscape and the MPSA community?
We support the MPS landscape by delivering solutions that improve print visibility, cost control, security, and operational efficiency. Our consultative, data-driven approach assesses device fleets, print behaviour, workflows, and security posture to design scalable MPS programmes aligned with business objectives.
Our work includes fleet optimisation, proactive monitoring, remote device support, sustainability initiatives, and ongoing analytics to support continuous improvement.
Our involvement with the MPSA reflects our commitment to advancing the industry. As a member of the Board of Directors, our General Manager Ian Silvester contributes to the strategic direction and global initiatives of the association. Through this engagement we help promote best practices, industry collaboration, and innovation within the managed print community.
- What is the most significant way your organization makes a positive impact on the broader MPSA community?
Our greatest contribution is helping accelerate the transition of MPS from a device-centric model to a software-led, intelligence-driven managed services framework.
Through automation, predictive analytics, and integrations, we enable MPS providers to modernise service delivery, improve client experience, and deliver measurable sustainability outcomes. These capabilities also support stronger profitability and more proactive service models.
We also work closely with resellers to ensure our software continues to evolve to meet the needs of the channel today and in the future.
- Can you describe a time when your organization had to adapt to a major shift in the MPS industry?
The MPS industry has shifted from simply managing devices to delivering intelligent, sustainable, and remote-ready workflows. As hybrid work increased and costs rose, customers needed greater visibility into print usage, costs, and security from anywhere.
This shift reinforced that success is not just about providing software, but about delivering actionable insights, scalable solutions, and strong customer support so organisations can optimise operations wherever they work.
At the same time, manufacturers continue to introduce new devices and features, requiring our software to adapt quickly so customers can take advantage of those changes.
- What is the biggest opportunity for innovation and collaboration within the managed print community?
One of the biggest opportunities is developing industry-specific workflow solutions connected to print and MPS environments.
Greater collaboration beyond OEMs—with ERP integrators, IT managed service providers, cybersecurity firms, cloud partners, and RPA vendors—would allow MPS providers to become part of larger digital transformation initiatives.
There is also opportunity in areas such as secure document infrastructure, endpoint monitoring, firmware compliance tracking, and continuous optimisation through reporting, workflow reviews, and AI-driven insights. These capabilities can help providers deliver greater value and differentiate beyond device management.
- How have you benefited from the MPSA community?
Our involvement with the Managed Print Services Association helps us stay aligned with global best practices, industry standards, and emerging trends. Participation in MPSA forums and knowledge exchanges allows us to contribute to thought leadership while benchmarking our services against international standards.
The association plays an important role in strengthening the global MPS industry through professional standards, networking, and knowledge sharing.
As the industry evolves, there is opportunity to expand certifications and training around areas such as cloud printing, AI-driven print management, sustainability, cost optimisation, and security compliance. With strong leadership and an engaged membership base, the MPSA is well positioned to continue shaping the future of the industry.
